Verona

In June 2001, after several days in Venice, we boarded a train for Verona.

We stayed at Hotel Bologna, which we booked through the Internet.  The hotel is located at Piazza Bra, the location of the Roman Amphitheatre which has been in service for two millennia.

Verona is friendly to pedestrian traffic in the old section of the city.

After seeing the amphitheatre and wandering about the shops near the Piazza Bra, we walked to the river and the Roman Theater.  This also has been in constant use for two millennia, and offers a great view of the city.

These photos were all shot with either a Canon Rebel EOS or a disposable Kodak Panoramic camera.
